Beginners Tips

Here are some tips for those beginners hitting the slopes with the board, dreaming of visiting the pipes and snow parks:

  1. First of all, when booking a trip, it is recommended to go with a friend so you will have someone to laugh at.
  2. Make sure to have your camera and memorize all those small moments crashing into each other, trying to stand straight, sit on the lift and etc.
  3. Since you will be spending the first couple of days mostly on your behinds, you should prepare some dry clothing and potentially find a company for the night time that can help to ease the pain..
  4. Protective gear can always be very helpful. Behind protectors are usually available in the resorts for something like 70-100 Euro. Helmets are also good to have, especially in those icy cold days where you only hear the chchhhh noise when boarding..Wrist protectors are also highly recommended keeping your wrists in place.
  5. I think one of the most important tips I was missing, was knowing how to Stop.. and I have a small kid who will testify after I bumped into him.
  6. Mostly important, Smile, Enjoy it and Do not give up! It gets easier after a couple of days!
